Before the pumpkin, there was the turnip.

Turnip Jack is my homage to the old tale of Stingy Jack, the doomed wanderer who tricked the Devil, only to find himself barred from both Heaven and Hell. In the story, the Devil gives Jack a burning ember to light his eternal path. Jack places it inside a hollowed turnip and carries it with him as he wanders the darkness.

Turnip Jack is my interpretation of that story: a grotesque, weathered turnip transformed into a silver relic, its hollow face evoking the ember-lit lantern of Jack’s endless journey.

Only 13 examples will be produced. Each piece is individually serialized.
